Frequently Asked Questions

How can I view dogs that are ready to adopt? I can’t see available dogs on your website.

We don’t list available dogs on our website but you can view them on our partner organisation, D.O.G Rescue Cyprus’ Facebook page.

How do I apply to adopt a dog I saw on your page?

If you see a furry friend that matches what you’re looking for, message the individual that posted the dog on the Facebook page. Make sure you explain why you think you can offer the perfect home and if the poster has mentioned any known challenges, try to address them so that we can find the best possible match.

Are dogs good with other animals?

All dogs are different, some of our dogs may have lived with animals which would be specified on their adoption notes. Other dogs come in as a stray, so there may be no available history. Let us know if you have any other resident animals and we can advise you on how to proceed or arrange for cat/ small pet testing to be done before you continue with the process.

I’ve never adopted a dog from abroad before. What does the adoption fee include?

Your adoption fee covers the cost of microchipping, vaccinations and neutering/spaying where applicable. If you’re overseas we’ll also provide pre-flight vets checks, a pet passport and arrange transportation for your new dog.
