Mavis is a gentle, sensitive soul who forms deep, meaningful bonds with the people she trusts. She may take a little time to feel safe, but once she lets you in, she gives you her whole heart. This sweet girl just needs someone patient, kind, and willing to let her blossom at her own pace.
Mavis loves the simple pleasures in life — gentle fuss, splashing in water, chasing tennis balls, playing with her squeaky pheasant toy, and investigating molehills with great enthusiasm! She walks very nicely on the lead, has good recall, is clean in the house, travels well, and can be left for a few hours after a walk.
She does, however, have a cheeky habit of stealing unattended snacks… but who can resist a tasty opportunity? 😉
🐶 Mavis does well with other dogs when introductions are calm and steady.
A confident, relaxed dog in the home may really help support her.
🚫 No cats.
👨👩👧 Because she’s nervous around strangers, Mavis would prefer:
An adult-only home, or
A home with older, dog-savvy teens who understand her need for gentle handling and patience.

✨ A secure, larger garden where she can explore comfortably
✨ Someone patient who will support her confidence building
